We had trouble communicating with the carrier: Missing or invalid ship to StateProvinceCode
This error usually indicates that the ISO code / abbreviation for the state has not been entered correctly.
This error most commonly occurs with shipments to the United States. In the state/province field, a two-letter ISO code must be provided.
UPS only allows a two-character value, so you must use the abbreviation according to ISO 3166-2:US.
After correcting this, you should be able to create the label successfully.
Please note: In some integrations, plugins, or shop systems, the field for entering the state may not be available, which can prevent label creation.
Missing or invalid account number
This error indicates that your account number is either incorrect or has not been activated.
Please check your UPS configuration in your Shipcloud account under Carriers to ensure that your account number has been entered correctly.
If everything appears correct and you still receive this error, please contact your UPS representative and request activation of your account number.
We had trouble communicating with the carrier: Missing or invalid shipper AttentionName
This error appears when no contact name (first and last name) is provided in the sender’s shipping address when creating a shipment.
However, this information is mandatory for UPS shipments.
If you encounter this error when booking a pickup, it will appear as:
We had trouble communicating with the carrier: Missing or invalid Contact Name
This refers to the same issue.
Please update your shipping address in your Shipcloud account accordingly.
Once the contact name is added, label creation should work without any issues.
For more information, please refer to our Developer Portal.
We had trouble communicating with the carrier: Missing or invalid street...
This error indicates that the character limit for the “street” field has been exceeded.
For UPS, the maximum length including house number is 35 characters (spaces count as well). However, only 30 characters are displayed on the label.
More information about character limits can be found in our Developer Portal.
