Liability

UPS is liable in case of loss, damage or culpable breach of other obligations for shipments not excluded as prohibited goods, provided that the damage for domestic and international shipping does not exceed 510 euros.

πŸ“Œ Please be sure to observe UPS's terms and conditions of carriage. If these are not met, your liability claim may be void.

Drop-off and pickup

UPS packages that you send via Shipcloud business rates can be dropped off at any UPS Access Point without any problems.

We recommend that you drop off your UPS Express shipments at a UPS Access Point on the same day, but no later than 5:00 pm. Please contact UPS directly to find out by when you should drop off your UPS Express package so that a delivery can be made for the next business day. You can also use the drop-off location finder on the UPS website to see the latest possible posting times.

For your UPS shipments, you can also create a sporadic pickup request via the Shipcloud webUI, in some plug-ins/integrations as well as via API request for the next business day at the earliest (Mon-Fri in the core pickup time window between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm) at the click of a button. Click here for more information on how to request one-time pickups.

Pickups for UPS Express packages can only be ordered via API request if they are to be executed on the same day.

Returns

You can create return labels for national and international returns to Germany either directly together with the shipping label and enclose them in your packages or generate them at a later time.

For national returns, you can also provide your recipients with your own returns portal. There, your customers can flexibly create return labels when they are needed.

Billing for return shipping labels is always usage-based.

Subsequent weight corrections

Each package is reweighed on the conveyor systems by UPS using calibrated scales. Should there be any deviations in the weight of the shipment as indicated by you when creating the shipping label, the carrier reserves the right to correct the weight and adjust the shipping price accordingly.

The newly determined price for your shipment will be invoiced to us by UPS and we reserve the right to pass on to you these subsequently incurred shipping costs and additional charges for your shipment in the form of surcharges.

Surcharges and additional fees

UPS reserves the right to charge additional fees for e.g. address correction, manual sorting or island or out-of-area surcharges. This can also happen if the previously specified dimensions or weight of the package do not match the actual information.

Shipcloud reserves the right to pass on these surcharges to you. For more information and an overview of possible surcharges, please click here.

Please also note that you must always prepare and attach customs documents for your foreign shipments. If these documents are missing, you may incur additional charges.
