Creating customs declarations (CN 23) in Shipcloud

Updated over a year ago

When shipping to a country that applies customs duties, the exporter must include certain documents with the shipment, depending on the content of the shipment, the value of the goods, and the country of destination.

You can use Shipcloud via the Shipcloud webUI or via API to prepare the customs declaration for your item, together with the shipping label. Once the shipment and the customs declaration have been created, you can download the shipping label and the customs document as a PDF file.

The shipping label is given in DIN A5 or A6 format. You can change the settings for the shipping label format in the WebUI under the menu item "Configurations>>Label configurations"

The customs declaration, however, is always created in DIN A4 format and must also be printed in this size.

Please keep in mind that, if your shipment consists of more than just one parcels, you have to add a customs declaration to each parcel.
Parcels without customs declaration will be returned to sender.
